Statement of Faith
1) We believe that the Bible 66 books of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God (Timothy 3:5-17) (1Peter 1:23-25) (Hebrews 4:12).
2) We believe there is one true God, who eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4) (Mark 12:29) (Matthew 28:19) (Isaiah 43:10,11).
3) We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14) (Matthew 1:23) (Luke 1:31) (Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26) (1 Peter 2:22), His miracles (Acts 2:22) (Acts 10:38), His vicarious atoning death through His shed blood (Ephesians 1:7) (1 Corinthians 15:3) (2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6) (Luke 24:39) (1 Corinthians 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19) (Acts 2:33) (Hebrews 1:3), His future personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11) (Revelation 19:11-16).
4) We believe that man was created in the image of God, He was created good and upright; for God said “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” But man by voluntarily disobeying a divine command of God fell into sin therefore bringing all mankind under condemnation. And man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31) (Genesis 2:17) (Genesis 3:1-7) (Romans 5:12-21) (Ephesians 1-7) (1 John 1:7) (1 Peter 1:19).
5) We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for our sins, and on the third day he was resurrected thus conquering sin and death, and man’s only hope of redemption is through His atoning blood. We believe there is no other name under heaven by which men must be saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) (John 3:16) (Romans 3:23-26) (1 John 1:7) (Acts 4:12) (1 Peter 1:19) (Ephesians 1:7) (Revelations 1:5).
6) We believe that salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith towards the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. All those who accept this gift by simple faith shall be saved (Luke 24:47) (John 3:3) (John 3:16,17) (Romans 10:9,10,13-15) (Ephesians 2:8) (Titus 2:11) (1 John 1:9,10).
7) We believe in water baptism by immersion as an outward profession of our belief in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, thus declaring to the world we have died with Jesus and that we have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19) (Mark 16:16) (Romans 6:4) (Acts 8:36-38). While we do take a believer's baptism position, we do not exclude from partnership and fellowship our Paedo Baptist brothers and sisters who believe in “justification by grace through faith”.
8) a) We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. We believe He has come into the world to reveal and glorify Jesus Christ and apply the saving work of Christ to men. He convicts mankind of sin, draws them to repentance and regenerates him(or her) through spiritual rebirth. The Holy Spirit imparts new life and assures believers of salvation, gives gifts for servant ministries, empowers them to witness, meets the needs of the lost, the poor and the oppressed (John 3:3-8) ( John 16:8) (John 16:12-15) (1 Thessalonians 4:7) (Romans 8:1, 2, 11, 16) (1 Corinthians 12:4-12).
b) All believers are called to live in the power of the indwelling spirit not yielding to the sinful nature but to the Holy Spirit who gives us the power to live the Christian life (Romans 8:1-17).
9) We believe that God admonishes His people to assemble together regularly in a local church for worship, participation in ordinances, edification through the scriptures and mutual encouragement. (Hebrew 10:24-25) (Acts 2:41, 42) (Acts 20:7)(1 Corinthians 12:20-28) (1 Corinthians 16 1:2) (Ephesians 4:11-16) (1 Timothy 4:13).
10) We believe at physical death the believer enters immediately into eternal, conscious fellowship with the Lord and awaits the resurrection of his body to everlasting glory and blessing (2 Corinthians 5:8) (Luke 23:39-43).
11) We believe in the blessed hope, when Jesus raptures His Church when all Christians who have died will one day rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air. Christians who have not yet died will be raptured or caught up with them, to be with the Lord. Then Christians of all ages will live with God forever. The scriptural truth of the Lord’s soon return is the “blessed hope” (Romans 8:23) (1 Corinthians 15:51-52) (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) (Titus 2:13).
12) We believe in the final judgment of those whose names are not found in the Book of Life. They shall be consigned with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, to everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with the fire and brimstone which is the second death (Revelation 19:20) (Revelation 20:10-15).
13) We believe and look forward to the perfect new heavens and new earth that Christ is preparing for all believers. We will live and dwell with Him there forever (2 Peter 3:13) (Revelation 21:1).
14) We believe it is the mandate of the Church to go into the world and preach the Gospel to every living creature and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that Jesus has commanded (Mark 16:15) (Matthew 28:19-20).
